FF7 - SEPHIROTH - Pen

100k THAAAAAAAAANKS!!!


Damn…
I HAD to do something for my 100k THX, of course! XDDD

But since I’m still in a Creative Block I thought about drawing another Pen Portrait.
And since I’m still studying FFVII line art look what we got now!

SEPHIROTH! Yay Yay!!!

Ok I confess… 7 hours over this one… 18 attempts… but nothing compared to Yazoo that was the one I really wanted to do next… but after nothing less that 40 attempts (If I remember correctly the amount of papers I thrown in the garbage… )

Ack! Now I totally desist to try drawing him! >_<’
I really wanted to do the 3 brothers portraits but… Yazoo is F****** too difficult for me!



Yazoo: Of course… I’m the prettiest!

Washu: … You’re the one who does not have too many personal features in your face and hair to look just like yourself! ¬¬

Kadaj: Agreed! Look at my hair! This style is mine and only! *moves his hair all around*

Washu: And the fact that it covers one of your eyes completely really helps a lot! *nods*

Loz: Indeed! *sighs* It means I will not get a portrait for me then? *start crying*

Washu: I think your hair really shows who you are… and the fact that your face has many male details and your hair is quite unique somehow… I think a portrait would indeed look like you… But look at this! *points to Yazoo feeling quite angry at the moment* Does this guy look like he has any feature of his own?

Yazoo: That means I’m difficult… I like giving you trouble! *smirks* ^^

Washu: … WTF… He’s enjoying it… =___='

Sephiroth: *at a corner* … And here I thought I was the Star of the show… *depressed*

Cloud: … I think I’m the Star of the show... *suddenly appears*

Sephiroth: Why you… *Angry* Why the hell you keep on saying useless stuff??? >_<’

Cloud: … Because I’m the main character! *Points to the protection seal of the Main Character on his forehead* That’s why I always beat you… ^^

Everybody: TRUE!!!

This is from a Crisis Core scene! Soldier 1st Class Training, again…

People were asking me if I do this directly with the ball point pen….

HELL NO!!!
THERE’S NO WAY!!!

I pause the scene I want to use as reference for drawing, zoom it, then stick one of those transparent plastics for (what is it called in English?) Retro-projector(?) I crosshatched with 1x1 cm² each square, then I do the same with the paper I’m about to sketch, use a PENCIL to mark the face details features (things that would look like the character in case of a portrait) then when I have all the shadows marked I start using the pen to make the Final Art!

I know… it’s not easy but it works! *points to Sephiroth in the corner pushing his Masamune to Cloud still pointing to his protection seal*

Washu: Seph… If I were you… I would simply forget about killing him…
