I still feel bad though. We kill them out of fear. I know they carry disease for us, but... They are actually very clean (aka, they groom themselves.)
We get so many cockroaches in our house because it isn't "sealed up" very well... And because we live in a warm state that gets a LOT of rain. They see our house as a refuge from the bad weather and sneak in. So I go through this song and dance (literally) a lot.
They even follow me to school. One time, I was in math class, and one landed smack-dab on my desk. It startled me pretty bad because I was concentrating deeply, so I jumped up and ran to the other side of the room. XD
I was like with a friend goin downstaird and i saw the damn cockroaches and I went like OMG WTF!!!!!11 AND RAN AND WELL...I...fall down to the floor ...with all my face!

...SCORPIANS.
We've had 6 so far. One actually STUNG me and another was in my parent's BED! ANOTHER was hiding in one of our cooking pans, another was hiding under my sisters sandal, and another was in our HALLWAY, and we found two more DEAD.
I HATE those freaky things...
Anyway, yeah, roaches are gross. Living in Texas, if you live near the desert and don't spray, you'll get tons of them.
